Experienced Legal Counsel
After serving the community for over twenty years as a prosecutor, Ned Coyne founded Coyne Law, LLC to represent clients in both criminal and civil litigation matters. Mr. Coyne puts his extensive experience to good use by providing customized quality representation in a personalized way.
Mr. Coyne is highly experienced, having handled jury trials for crimes including homicide, attempted murder, arson, carjacking, robbery, armed robbery, drug distribution, and other crimes. Mr. Coyne has tried hundreds of criminal and serious traffic cases in both jury trials and bench trials.
As a prosecutor, he routinely trained law enforcement on topics such as Illegal Searches and Seizures (4th Amendment), Confessions (5th Amendment), Legislative Updates, and Mock Trial. Mr. Coyne also participated in training FBI digital forensic examiners and computer scientists. Mr. Coyne also trained many local prosecutors. He may have even trained the police officer or prosecutor involved with your case. Mr. Coyne was twice nominated to the judicial short list by the Carroll County Judicial Nominating Commission for judicial vacancies in Carroll County. Mr. Coyne was a member of the team that founded and established the Drug Treatment Court in Carroll County.
After law school, Mr. Coyne clerked for the Honorable Lenore Gelfman, Judge of the Circuit Court for Howard County. Mr. Coyne graduated summa cum laude (highest honors) from the University of Baltimore School of Law. Mr. Coyne graduated cum laude with a B.A. from Mt. St. Mary's University, where he was a member of the varsity lacrosse team.
